Zombie is a monster in the class "The Dead." He is monster #31. This remake gave the zombie a very scary and nasty look as his body is falling apart with rotten skin and wearing ragged purple clothes.

The legend of zombies began in Voodoo legends, which began in Africa and carried on to the Caribbean islands. According to legend, certain ingredients can bring a corpse back to life, though it lives as a mindless being. The zombie would often become the slave to the person who brought it to life.
The modern concept of zombies greatly comes from George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Romero's reinvention of zombies is notable in terms of its thematics; he used zombies not just for their own sake, but as a vehicle "to criticize real-world social ills—such as government ineptitude, bioengineering, slavery, greed and exploitation—while indulging our post-apocalyptic fantasies".
